AURORA ALCAIDE RAMÍREZ

Aurora Alcaide Ramírez (Montilla, Córdoba, 1975) es Doctora en Bellas Artes por la Universidad de Granada (2003) y desde 2005 Profesora en la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Murcia (Catedrática de Pintura a partir de febrero de 2026). Es directora del Grupo de Investigación Arte y Políticas de Identidad, subdirectora de la revista homónima, y coordinadora del Grupo de Innovación Docente sobre Arte y Desplazamiento: MOVE. En la actualidad participa en los proyectos I+D+i: Território nômade: migrações, transições e deslocamentos na fotografia contemporânea, Universidade Feevale (Brasil) y Prácticas artísticas colectivas y de contexto en entornos locales. Vías de inclusión social ante la crisis global, financiado por MICIU/AEI y por FEDER, UE. Explora desde la teoría y la práctica artística la pintura abstracta y expandida, la antropización de la naturaleza, las poéticas del desplazamiento, el arte colaborativo/participativo y las relaciones entre arte, memoria e identidad cultural. Aúna así su actividad docente, con la investigadora y la artística, enriqueciéndose con las sinergias que se van generando entre estos tres ámbitos.

Aurora Alcaide Ramírez (Montilla, Córdoba, 1975) is a Doctor of Fine Arts from the University of Granada (2003) and since 2005 Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Murcia (Full Professor of Painting from February 2026). She is director of the Art and Identity Politics Research Group, executive manager of the homonymous journal, and coordinator of the Teaching Innovation Group on Art and Displacement: MOVE. She is currently participating in the R+D+i projects: Território Nômade: Migrações, Transições e Deslocamentos na Fotografia Contemporânea, Universidade Feevale (Brazil), and Collective and Context-based Artistic Practices in Local Settings. Pathways to Social Inclusion in the Face of the Global Crisis, funded by MICIU/AEI and the ERDF, EU. She explores abstract and expanded painting, the anthropization of nature, the poetics of displacement, collaborative/participative art, and the relationships between art, memory, and cultural identity, from the perspectives of theory and artistic practice. Thus, she combines her teaching, research and artistic activities, enriching herself with the synergies that are generated among these three areas.
