Doctora en Bellas Artes por la Universidad de Granada (2003) y desde 2005 Profesora en la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Murcia. Actualmente es Catedrática de Pintura en esta universidad. Es directora del Grupo de Investigación Arte y Políticas de Identidad y subdirectora de la revista homónima. En los últimos años ha participado en los proyectos I+D+i Prácticas Artísticas Colectivas y de Contexto en Entornos Locales. Vías de Inclusión Social ante la Crisis Global (PID2023-149171OB-I00), financiado por la Agencia estatal de investigación, y Território nômade: mi-grações, transições e deslocamentos na fotografia contemporânea (Universidade Feevale, Brasil). Explora desde la teoría y la práctica artística la pintura abstracta y expandida, la antropización de la naturaleza, las poéticas del desplazamiento, el arte colaborativo y las relaciones entre arte, memoria e identidad cultural.

Igualmente, ha sido seleccionada en XXII Concurso Encuentros de Arte Contemporáneo 2022 y premiada (adquisición de obra) en el XVII Concurso Encuentros de Arte Contemporáneo 2017, Instituto Alicantino de Cultura Juan Gil-Albert; seleccionada por la Diputación Provincial de Alicante para participar en la Convocatoria Artes Plásticas y Fotografía 2011, 2007 y 2005 (premiada con adquisición de obra en ésta última); por el Instituto Andaluz de la Mujer de la Junta de Andalucía en la III y VII Edición Arte de Mujeres (2000 y 2008 respectivamente); y en la V Bienal de Pintura Luis Aldehuela (Jaén, 1999). Además, ha ganado el Primer Premio en el X Concurso de pintura Villa Castell de Guadalest, Alicante (2005) y el Premio de Fotografía en el Concurso del Cartel Anunciador de la Fiesta de la Vendimia de Montilla (1998).
Ha realizado estancias de investigación y creación artística en la Fundaçao Universidade Do Rio Grande -FURG, Brasil (1998), en la Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais -UFMG, Brasil (2000), en la University of Washington, USA (2009), en la Universidad de Granada, España (2012), en el Museo Nelimarkka, Finlandia (2018), y en el Laboratorio de Experimentación Artística de la Universidad de Málaga, España (2025). Así mismo, realizó una estancia formativa Erasmus en la Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze, Italia (curso 1996/97).

Curriculum Vitae
Doctor of Fine Arts from the UGR (2003) and, since 2005, a professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Murcia. She is currently a Full Professor of Painting at this university. She is the director of the Art and Identity Politics Research Group and Executive Manager of the journal of the same name. At present, she participates in the R+D+i projects Collective and Contextual Artistic Practices in Local Environments. Pathways to Social Inclusion in the Face of the Global Crisis (PID2023-149171OB-I00), funded by the State Research Agency, and Nomadic Territory: Migrations, Transitions and Dislocations in Contemporary Photography (Feevale University, Brazil). She explores abstract and expanded painting, the anthropisation of nature, the poetics of displacement, collaborative art, and the relationships between art, memory, and cultural identity from the perspectives of theory and artistic practice.

She has also been selected for the XXII Contemporary Art Encounters Competition 2022 and has received an award (work acquisition) in the XVII Contemporary Art Encounters Contest 2017, IAC Juan Gil-Albert; selected by the Alicante Provincial Council to participate in the Call for Plastic Arts and Photography 2011, 2007 and 2005 (awarded with acquisition of work in the latter); selected by the Andalusian Institute of Women in the III and VII Edition of Women Art (2000 and 2008); and at the V Luis Aldehuela Painting Biennial (Jaén, 1999). In addition, she won 1st Prize in the 10th Villa Castell de Guadalest Painting Contest, Alicante (2005) and the Photography Prize in the Montilla Harvest Festival Announcement Poster Contest (1998).
She has carried out research and artistic creation residencies at the Fundaçao Universidade Do Rio Grande -FURG, Brazil (1998), at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais -UFMG, Brazil (2000), at the University of Washington, USA (2009), at the University of Granada, Spain (2012), at the Nelimarkka Museum, Finland (2018), and at the Laboratory for Artistic Experimentation at the University of Malaga, Spain (2025).
